Default Won’t start

I have a 1998 Dakota SLT with 318 v8 . the starter and fuel pump function normally but the motor refuses to start. After many trys it does run and all is fine, good power and normal performance. I'm certain this is caused by a relay, possibly in the ignition circuit but not sure which relay or it's location. Due to the rest of the systems functioning normally there must be a relay controlling spark in the ignition circuit.Has anyone else encountered this problem and solved it? A friend told me of someone who fixed it with a relay thus my direction of thought. But he couldn't remember which relay. I'm open to any ideas here. Thanks!
