yes, its my supercharger. Where is the whining on yours located? Is it there after the truck warms up?

I also have this, can really hear it in the garage. Only does it when it is cold. About 1-2 seconds after it starts and lasts 5-10 seconds. I figure when I have my new exhaust on I will no longer hear it

Update

Found information that the noise comes from aftermarket oil filters. M1 filters will make it happen. If you run a Mopar filter it appears the noise, which almost sounds like a fan starting to spin up, will not occur. I will confirm this when I change my oil this winter.

The noise you are hearing is comming from an aftermarket oil filter. I had the same problem. I switched to a factory filter and no more noise. I also noticed that the factory filter had more holes for oil flow.

I would not call it serious, but I would put a mopar filter on it next change.
