I made a similar post some months back, and it seems nobody wants to tell. I have an '02 Dakota quad cab with the AWD tranny and the "next generation" 4.7 V8. The computer says I am getting 12.7 mpg and that checks out with the odometer/gas used. I do live where it is very hilly and a lot of curves, but I think that MPG is awful.
I don't pay any attention to my gas mileage. I'll pay through the nose if I have to... I just love my truck. <IMG style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley4.gif'" alt="Big smile" src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">

I have a '96 CC with the 318. I was getting about 18, but since I installed the supercharger, it's actually gone up to about 20. Problem is with all the engine mods, I now have to put in the expensive fuel every time.
Just curious, what Gas milage do you get..City/Hiway and towing if you do so? What year, Model, Engine, ect..</P>

Hey Jim, thats great highway mileage, I get 21MPG with an MBRP Exhaust setup and Cold Intake Kit. My city avg w/25k sits at 18 however. I have run Valvoline Synthetic since 30.2 miles, plus you've been towing a lot I take it.</P>

BTW... I own an '02 2X4CCSXT</P><edited><editID>brndnbrlw</editID><editDate>38007.0461458333</editDate></edited>
No, I dont tow all that much. I was bummed at the 11mpg towing though, I expected better. Thats why I bought the Dak. If I wanted 11mpg towing, I would have just gotten the RAM. Oh well, I see a HEMI in my future.</P>
Our 2001 SLT Q/C with the 4.7 and 5 speed mtx gets about 16mph around town and about 19 on the hiway turning its 3.92 axle. Towing our boat costs about 3 MPG's.
