Default What to do? What to do?

hey eveyone, not only am i new to this thread but i am also i new Neon owner. less than a week ago i got an 04 SXT 5sd. i need some ideas on what to do (cold air, exhaust.....(web sites) bcuz of the fact i have next to no money right now bcuz of payments. for now i took the air box lid off and it sounds good. i plan to make my own cold air later, but what exhaust sounds good, i was looking at the mopar exhaust bcuz i work for ata chrysler dealership. but i need to hear them so if people could post sounds and pics that would be great.

BTW. i may be a neon owner but i'm a dedicated 3rd gen TA fan/owner. and i'm use to the V-8 rumble and i know i can't have it with the neon but i really can stand the fart cans. so exhaust needs to sound good

Default What to do? What to do?

Welcome!! I have a truck so it's not at all the same, but I have a Mopar Performance Cat Back Exhaust on my Ram... and I LOVE the sound... and so does everyone who meets my truck. They always ask me what brand is that, sounds GREAT... it's Mopar Performance... and no one can everbelieve it. So, despite the stock lookto the Mopar Exhaust (a bit boring) it sounds fabulous. So, although it's not the same set up... at least I can tell you the sounds impresses all... so I would think the Mopar Performance Exhaust for the SRT would be excellent sounding...

So there... there is my story... and I'm the only person here that I know of with Mopar Performance Exhaust... but I have a dealership connection myself, and was able to get it at employee price. YAY! But I LOVE it...

When I redo the exhaust... I'm thinking of keeping most ofmy MoparCatBack System, up to the muffler, and making my own sideexit with just pipes and nice tips... that's how much I like the sound. LOL! Just bored with the stock look.

i must say, it's sad...what i mean is that i'm from www.thirdgen.org and www.soundillusions.net and they have on average 10,000 threads for a single topic and herethe most is 289and it seems this forum is really small (or really new). i mean it's a dodge forum, it's MOPAR. i would think it would be larger. and it seems that there aren't too many sites for parts for neons.if i'm missing something here please let me know.

My R/T has the Mopar Performance cat back exhaust and I love the sound of it. I have also gotten quite a few compliments on it too.

Make sure you keep the chrome dual tip clean and polished often, because when I bought my R/T it already had the Mopar Performance cat-back exhaust on it, which was only on it about a year or so before I bought it, and it already had rust between the duals right where they split from the single pipe. Trying to find a tip that looks similar and that will fit without sticking out 3 feet from the car was not easy, I went with the Hooker dual 2 1/2" chrome round angle cut tip and it looks great. Just remember to polish it often, especially in the winter if your in the snow belt.
