Default 1999 Neon Door Latch Prob

I recently had my passenger side door glass replaced by a technician from Safelite Autoglass. Now the door latch will not open from the inside and the guy is kinda refusing to fix it.

The glass installed was a universal factory glass piece that lefta gap between the window and the seal on the car. My Neon apparently needs a special curved piece of glass that had to be ordered from Chrysler. We're working on that part. But the technician claims that regardless of the piece of glass, the latch system is no where near where the glass is, so it wasn't his fault, but he'd check it out. I do think the position of the glass relative to the latch system had something to do with the fact that it won't work now, and since it was factory glass, not the special piece I need, it somehow rubbed or touched the latch system.

How does the latch system in my model work, and who is right here?

Either way it is his fault. When he installed the glass he could have knocked the rod assembly apart that connect the door handle to the latch or the fact that he knowingly put in an incorrect peice of glass. No matter which it is, he is at fault.

Update:

The problem was corrected. Thank goodness. The correct piece of glass finally came in and we discovered that one of the plastic pieces to the rod assembly (or something like that) had shrunk and fallen off. Everything was fixed and working okay now. And I didn't even have to argue with anybody. I'm happy.

Shrinking hard plastic, thats a new one. Sounds to me like he made up an excuse for having knocked it off. Either way I'm glad to hear that the problem has been fixed.
