Default C-Converter noise ???

Recently my check engine light started to flash, (98 Dodge Avenger ES-V6)startup is normal, fluttered engine noise on the left side of the engine. Some hestitation when turning &climbing- but does not stall. When I reach speeds in excess of 20-25 the engine isstill a bit louder thanusual, butspeed is consistant. I have been told that it could be(bad gas)water in the fuel line or the C-Converter or computer needs to be reset.Has anyone experienced this or know if this condition?

Regards,

Check and make sure the MAS is plugged in. Have you added an intake system or anything lately, because you could of forgotten to plug the MAS back up. It definitely isn't the cat. That wont throw a CEL. Could be an 02 sensor and another sensor. Could also have a air leak somewhere.

Thank you for your reply....I've since had a complete computer analysis and the results state that I need a full tune up, injectors, plug, wires, filter the whole shabang. I asked about the exhaust system and the CC and they stated that no holes were found nor was the CC an issue. Should I get a second oppinion or is 1000.00 realistic for parts and labor for this diagnosis? Regards
