Default Winter Tire Questions

Alright I have 2 question...

First, for anyone in the snow belt with a RWD R/T...

What winter tire(s) would you recomend?

Second...

If I get spare tires mounted on a spare set of rims...is it really necessary to havea set oftire pressure sensors mounted inside them? Orcan I get by w/o them?

Thanks all!

Default RE: Winter Tire Questions

I just got on a set of Toyo Observe plus, and as there is no snow yet, driving today was still good, a bit more road noise as u would expect, but with my stereo goin I cant hear anything anyways. They actually still felt better than the contis, although I didnt try any high speed cornering...yet. As for the sensors, I am not sure, but I know people have gone without on their new rims. Something to think about though, do u want aftermarket rims for summertires? I am going with 22s next summer, so I just mounted them on the stock wheels. It might suck if u ended up with 3 sets of wheels in the future.

Two tires that come to mind...... Goodyear Tripletred, it's gotten great reviews...although they are difficult to find in our 17" size. Tirerack has them on back order.

The best snow tire that has worked for me in the past is fairly affordable..... Blizzak's.

Just my two cents
