Default help!! whats the flywheel cover called

what is the cover to the flywheel called..is it the flexplate..or just the flywheel cover..i dont know

Flywheel brings power from the engine to the standard trans.A flexplate brings power from the engine to a automatic. If you have a standard there is a cast "bellhousing" with a tin inspection cover on the bottom.
