Default Ipod adapter to stock headunit

Hey I'm getting an 03 Stratus R/T and already working on what I'm gonna need to update. I want to keep the stock headunit but I want to add an ipod cord, and i mean one that has audio input and charging capabilities. I have an old school 160gig ipod and want the wide wire connector to charge it while i play it. How could I add it to the radio?

I googled it and found nothing for your car. I have one in my '04 Dakota (have had it for years) nothing shows up for your car. Maybe you can get one of the the adapters that plays the ipod thru an FM channel on the radio... I used one for my XM radio when I was driving a moving truck awhile back.

This. Your only option unless you change the head unit.

If you can find the same radio out of a newer model that has aux input, that's your only choice to keep it stock. As far as iPod charging and all that, you would need something with a USB plug and those did not come around till much later.

I want one with a disc changer, either the 4 or the 6 disc one unit, if i can't do the charger I at least want an audio input, worst case scenario I buy the one with a disc and cassette and use the cassette audio adapter.

This would be nice the thing is i need to take apart the dash and see what the connector looks like, the note says it won't fit the stratus coupe

I think this what's made to be in there with the step in the back

How can I add an aux cable to this?
