Default no sound from stereo

Hey Guys I just got a 2000 Ram 1500 with an awsome Jensen stereo in it. All the lights come on but no sound. I have checked the radio and amp fuses are all good. Any ideas on how to get sound?

Thanks for any help.

Is there an amplifier somewhere else in the car? or do the speaker wires come from the radio itself?
You can check the speakers by using a 1.5 volt AA battery on each speaker... you will hear small pops when you test each one at the radio plug. I used to use one with a small (2") wire soldered to each end for doing just this.

What have you checked so far? As mentioned, are the speaker wires connected? Is there an amp?
