You don't necessarily have to finance through the dealer though.

That just changed. As long as you have about a 625 score you are now considered A credit.

I think the change is the government is funding their financing dept. So the are "giving" it away to get the cars and trucks off the lots.

I am going to stop at the dealer tomorrow to see what kind of price and financing I can really get (I am over 625). I will report back.

Same boat here.... Do I get a Ram or Challenger. I guess what it comes down to is I would need the SRT Challenger to come close to what I want in terms of a car. Even though they are included in the deals it will still run me 6-8K more than a Ram and still not be 100% (performance wise) where I want the car to be. The Ram I will be happy with by adding some nerf bars and a tonneau. Although I still may ask what I can get a SRT for. Last I looked my dealer had 5 of them on the lot, although I never checked to see how many of those are manuals.

'Bottom line is these deals would have to be super sweet for me to pull the trigger today/this week. My plan was not to buy until Spring 10.

her truck isnt made for pulling anything, and the ramcharger is dying (hasnt moved in 2 months). realistically, we could use a truck to tow cars or a horse trailer, but at the same time, id love a sport-oriented truck...even though we have one now, and it doesnt serve much truck purpose. then again, we dont HAVE to tow anything anywhere right now...so then i look to cars, and id love to have an srt8 challenger with a manual, but with the power output from the RT, i would have to think that they have something planned for the 6.1 soon. also, having all 2-door vehicles, it would be nice to have something like an AWD 300 that she could take to the stable and wouldnt be a bore to drive..
