Default Question of the Week: Hellcat Manual or Automatic?

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the first 600+ horsepower American performance car offered with a manual transmission AND an automatic transmission - which brings us to our question of the week.

If you were buying a Hellcat Challenger, would you pick the manual or automatic transmission? Make your pick in the poll above and tell us why you picked this way below!

Wouldn't let me vote for the automatic. Richard Rawlings 10.86 was auto with drag radials. If he drove the stick he would still be spinning at the tree..

The 8 speed auto in my Jeep SRT is amazing with the dial indicator to change the shift map. I would get the stick in the Hellcat, but the auto is very nice.

Which ever one will hold up to that amount of power for the long haul. Thats probably the manual.

Tremec is by far the largest producer of thansmissions in the US, that doesn't mean they are the best. I've had three different models they all suffered from the same problem bad second gear synchros.

I favor the 6 speed for gp/fun but in this case the 8 speed auto is the best choice to the lowest ET's. It's going to be hard to beat the performance of the new 8 speed in this car.
