Default Replacing Intake Manifold and Carb on 74 Dart. Suggestions Welcomed!

Hey I got a 74 Dart Sport with a 225 Slant 6. I'm looking to replace the intake manifold (which is rusty beyond repair) and the carburetor (which is a really small single barrel).

I'm seriously considering upgrading to a 2bbl or 4bbl setup. Because at the moment, the car has no get up and go, and the carb on it, while it is new, doesn't have an adjustable choke and the choke doesn't seem to be opening all the way when I put my foot on the throttle.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what specific carb or intake manifold might work best in conjunction with each other as far as added horsepower and/or fuel economy, or which might get me the most bang for my buck?

Thanks,
-J

Probably do some searches on ebay for slant intake. That would be the first item to find.

A good resource for the "A" bodies .....................
