Default Found a 68 Charger R/T-whats it worth?

Hi folks,
New to the site. Actually came over from Chevelles.com. I had a 70 Challenger 340 in college so I always loved the Mopars. Now have a 70 SS396 w/ 455 hp. I found a 68 Charger R/T (XS29L8B184292) automatic, original motor (440 -375hp), original trans but needs rebuilt, orig. wheels and interior. Car has been sitting since summer 2001. The paint is bad and all quarter panels need replaced or fixed. I need a ball park figure of what you think its worth so I can wave some cash in front of the owner.

Default RE: Found a 68 Charger R/T-whats it worth?

Welcome.

Man, these are very tough. Orig engine, big plus, but is it repairable? Rust is main question, especially how floors and frame rails look. Console and buckets, very good combo as well as decent color combo. Very tough to tell, especially on rust question.

My guess $4k to ???
