Default Getting a code without a code reader?

Hi all,
I've got a 2015 Charger se v6 8spd auto. I've got a flashing, check engine light. Is there a way I can get the code for that, without having a code reader?
Thanks.

Take it to an auto parts store.

FYI, a flashing engine light is a seriouos misfire.

For a long time, you could read codes by doing the code dance. I assume FCA still does that. If you have a key, you turn the key to the ON position. Do NOT go to the start position. Basically, you go On, OFF, ON, OFF, then ON and leave it on. Any codes will appear in the odometer. If you have keyless start, you need to go to one of the major auto parts stores like AutoZone.
