RE: POST YOUR COMPUTER!
Nothing impressive here, but anyways:
desktop:
Dell Dimension 4600 (purchased December 2003) for $900
2.8GHz Pentium 4 Hyper-Thread
Intel 865 chipset family
1.5GB PC3200 RAM (*2x 512MB, 2x 256MB)
40GB Western Digital Internal HD
*2x 200GB Seagate External HD
*ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card (cutting edge, I know )
*ATI TV Tuner
Stock DVD-ROM
*Sony DRU-720A DVD+/-RW
Intel wired network (what doesn't have that?)
And, the most cutting edge technology: a floppy drive and 17" CRT monitor
laptop (aka overpriced craptop):
Dell Inspiron 6000 (purchased September 2005)
1.6GHz Pentium M
Intel 915 chipset family
1.5GB PC2-4200 RAM (1x 512MB, *1x 1GB)
70GB Fujitsu Internal HD
Stock DVD+/-RW
Intel Wireless network card
15.4" widescreen WUXGA (1900x1200 resolution, lots of space )
* denotes an add-on
I love my desktop (3 years old now, and still has power to do *most* of what I want to do with it [obviously couldn't run brand new games, since my graphics card aint good).
My laptop... there are some days I just want to throw it out the window, but, its what I use to get online, so can't do that!
Can't wait to get money and build my dream machine. (Until a year passes and need to upgrade [8D])
