Default Suggestion on buffer.

Ok so im looking for a decent buffer, nothing fancy or anything and under $50 bucks. I know, im cheap but im poor and i cant even afford to spend $50 bucks. I'm just going to use it for mild stuff, just light swirl removing but mostly waxing/buffing. Im looking between a 6in-8in buffer.

Should i just take a shot and get a buffer from say sears, walmart, etc.?
I had a 10in craftsman buffer but to say the least i dropped it a bit and it broke, i defintly liked the buffer but something a tad smaller would be better. Thanks

I would get a dual-action orbitor, but not sure if one is under $50.00,

Then don't waste the $50. All of those 6"-12" random orbital buffers you find in stores are really only good for applying/removing wax. You'll get better correction results by hand vs. one of those.

You could try ebay and pick up a porter cable 7424. There is always someone selling one as they lose interest in detailing or upgrading to a better unit.

I use the Porter Cable DA and it works very well. Do not need to worry about 'buring' the paint, but it is not cheap,

I agree with tryn to find a 7424.....you could do correction with a cheap one, but it would take forever and not be worth it imo

The rotary is a tool that shouldn't be messed with unless you can practice with it on an old car or spare parts first.

With polishes like Meguairs M105, etc. the DA can do some quick serious correction work with less risk of holograms, etc.
