Default 06 Cummins upgrades

I'm looking to get a couple upgrades for my 06 common rail. First of all is a lift pump, and I can't decide between fass and air dog. Can anyone tell me which is better for the money? Second is an intake I'm thinking a S&B intake but if anyone knows of a better brand let me know.

I run a FASS. Pros and cons to both. Most research and most dodge guys run the FASS. IMO I would not waste your money on a CAI. You will find most don't do anything for performance or fuel mileage. And most don't even pull cold air. They have an open filter in the hot engine bay.

Stock airbox is perfectly fine up to about 500hp they say. One of the guys I used to pull with started sucking the filter when he went above that. Below that threshold though, it's fine.

Apparently Airdog was sold and quality went in the toilet. Mine is still going strong, 6 years in, but if I were to do it again now, I'd probably go with the FASS. I'm not sure if things have changed, but the aftermarket filter selection for the Airdog is very limited, and I understand there are more (and more readily available) options for the FASS.
