So I was hoping someone could offer some helpful advise on the issue I am having with my 1998 Avenger 2.5. So I have a check engine light on and the codes are P0700(TCM) and P0740(TCC). I went ahead and swapped the control solenoid, flushed the fluid with fresh ATF+4, and changed the filter. Cleared the code and still comes back on. Is there anything else I can try replacing before I have to go for the full overhaul and replace the Torque converter?? I am really hoping that it may be one of the speed sensors or just a sensor in general. The car shifts fine with no jerking, slipping or locking up. So if there is no mechanical issue then it must be a sensor correct? I cant pass emissions until I get this issue resolved any help asap would be greatly appreciated.
