Default Losing power :(

I have a dodge caliber 2L CRD (2006) it has 13000+ miles and since Dec I have noticed, sporadically, that at 3000 revs it loses lots of power, almost wanting to stop, which is scarry when driving with family in car.

When driving it struggles to keep a constant speed and has stalled once when downshifting.

Has anyone else noticed this or know what it could be?

I think it is worse when the weather is colder (below 4 celcius), I am going to book it in for a service but want to know if this is going to turn out to be something expensive.

I would be grateful of any help or ideas you guys can give.

First of all welcome to the forum.

You might have better luck with help regarding your
CRD Caliber on the UK Caliber forum as it's not availiable
in the North American market.

http://www.caliberowners.co.uk/

We have diesel vehicles just not the Caliber,
possibly a forum member may be able to help.
