Angry need some help!!!

Hey, my transmission cooler light keeps coming on and the car will go into "limp mode". i have tried several things to remedy the situation including taking the transmission cooler off of the transmission (as it is attached to the transmission itself) and cleaning the filter inside (as the dealer was unable to provide me with a replacement because he didnt understand which filter i was talking about) now the car has begun overheating and my only thought is that i somehow crossed the coolant lines during reassembly. any picture or diagnostic of how the coolant lines reattach to the transmission cooler or any possible thought as to the nature of this problem would be greatly appreciated. the car is no longer under warranty so taking it to the dealer is simply out of the question due to the pricey nature of dealer repair. thanks everybody.

Welcome to the forum.
Some more info would be most helpful.
What year, engine and transmission are we talking about here?
