Default transmission overheating

Hello everyone. I have a 2007 dodge caliber. The transmission overheats when I drive on the highway. It's ok at first, but then if I drive over 60 mph for about 30 minutes, it overheats, and loses power. Once it cools down its fine again. It doesn't overheat while I'm driving in town. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Welcome to the forum.

Have you had the fluid level checked? You have to have the proper scan tool to properly check it. usually trans shop or dealer will have to check it, it has no dipstick.

check that the coolant line hasnt been crushed.. some chrysler trans systems have a check valve in the coolan line, that can clog, every one says to remove the check valve. have a GOOD trans shop check that out. and is the engine overheating? time for extra cooler?
