Default SRT4 v SE suspension

Is the suspension on an SRT4 different from that fitted to an SE? if so, please explain how.

I have put 40mm lowering springs on my SE, but think the damper units may not be coping with them, and I'm just thinking if it would be better to fit SRT4 units!!!???

I'm sure they are stiffer for better handling. As far as fitment, I am guessing that they are a direct bolt-on.
