Default 5 speed manual transmission question

ok so here is the deal, i have a 2007 caliber sxt 5 speed manual with the 1.8 motor. well i have a transmission leak so i decided to see where it was coming from so i started taking stuff apart. well i pulled everything apart and it was the drivers side axle leaking. so i went to advanced auto they had the correct seal i believe and they gave me some atf +4 fluid. now i am kind of lost... i have read about a cvt transmission, but isnt that for automatics? shouldnt this be a different transmission then that? and also i do not know how far to fill the transmission up. i am no car mechanic what so ever but i like to try things myself. thanks for any info at all

The CVT uses a special fluid. Yours should use ATF+4 which is not CVT fluid.

There should be a plug on the side of the casing, about half way up, Fill it until it just starts to run out.
