Default 2009 dodge caliber -Throttle light

Since it has been cold my throttle light been coming on. But when i cut the car off and wait about 30 sec. And turn it on the throttle light goes off. It has been doing it more since it is getting colder. Then the check engine light comes on and the code that comes up is p0507, rpm higher then expected. The place where i got my car from just put a new throttle in July 2015. I have no leaks also. What could be the problem, someone please help?

Hi jcotts,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!

Take a close look at the battery. The electronics are very sensitive to voltage. I would definitely replace if it is the original.

Your fuel system, among other systems, is controlled and monitored by the vehicles pcm. If your battery is starting to fail due to age or its extremely cold, it doesn't deliver the correct voltage. These electrical systems require the voltage to be within a certain range. Hope this helps.
