Default 2006 Grand Caravan - 2nd Row Seat - Replacement

Just Yesterday I bought 2006 Grand Caravan for my wife. She like BENCH seat in 2nd row BECAUSE of our 1 year old who sometime cry like anything and it will be easy for my wife to go back and sit with the baby to give her comfort while I am driving. Now in future at some point i'ld love to replace bench seat with captain chairs. Is this at all possible? Has anyone of you done this? If yes, do i need to pay dealer $$$$ or i can do it my sef in $$$?

Any other advise for a first time Grand Caravan (in fact Dodge) buyer?

Thanks

How many locking tracks are there across the floor? If there are 4, and your bench seat is only using 2 of them, I assume that you could replace it with 2 captains chairs. If there are only 2 tracks, you're probably SOL.

None the less you can always drill holes and mount the captains chairs

If this is a stow-n-go from the canadian plant you should be able to pull out the bench and mount the captains chairs. You will probably need extra hardware such as tie down nuts and possibly the trim ring. When you are ready to swap it out, try the local wrecking yard for the parts from a totalled van of the same year.
