Hi, i have one dodge caravan 1997, 3.0 l. It's run good, no problem, and the engine stop imediatly. I have to put in neutral and after 3-4 time, it's start again and no problem. It's hapend from higway to 100 km/h too. Somebody can givme an ideea? Thanks
I own a 2002 dodge caravan, when you start it and drive it does fine, but after running a few miles it will not shift out of first gear. I had it tested and it printed trouble shooting PO755 and PO700, this is telling me it could be the solenoid/pressure switch. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

99% of the time the cause would be the solenoid pack assy. The other 1% would be a wiring problem. When was the last time the transmission was serviced? If it been a while, I would service the transmission and replace the solenoid pack.

I serviced the transmission two years ago. How often should it be serviced. Thank you.

Hi, I came across your thread on transmission problems on a 1998 dodge grand caravan 3.8L. I was hoping you could help me being that you seem knowledgeable (20+ yrs )than these so-called MECHANICS. I had the transmission replace with a rebuilt in August/2011 and have returned 6 times because the check engine light keeps coming on with a code P0740 and P0700. First he changed an electronic part(possibly solenoid but not exactly sure) and lastly he changed the computer. Drove for a week or 2 and now the same thing. The same codes. This mechanic does nothing but transmissions and are clueless. Any ideas you can help me with?

The P0740 code is a no RPM drop for the torque converter. I do have the PDF file that the dealer use's. If you want a copy, just pm me your email address and I'll send it.
Rong45 has been back on the forum since 12/20/2011. What are the codes you are getting? This way everyone can help you. Or you can send me a pm with the codes you are getting.
