Default 2005 GC Sluggish hessitation at low speed and RPM

I have a 05 GC with the 3.3 motor. The engine light came on after I put the AC on for the first time. Now it stays on and the van runs sluggish when takeing off and at low speeds it seems to buck alittle. Is there any way to check the codesfrom home or do I need to get ripped off at the dealer? Is there anything that I may be able to check or replace before taking it in?

Thanks Steve

u can buy a obd scanner for about 50 to 100 bucks depends on what it has and who is selling it. Get one and see what the code is and u can go from there.

It may be just a coincidence that it happened at the same time as when you turned your AC on, but you may want to check your EGR valve. Unplug the electrical connector from it and see if your problem goes away. You will still have the warning light on the dash, but it should run good if that is the problem.
