Default How to replace EGR on 99 Grand Caravan

I just got my van dianosed with a faulty EGR valve.

My concern would be if it's simple enough for me to do it or do I need to have the shop do it. Appreciate any help.

Thanks much.

i just put on a new egr for my 98 with a 3.3, it wasnt hard, although it is a tight fit for the wrench, also make sure to disconnect the battery, i forgot to at first and when i started loosening the egr valve sparks started to fly[8D]

Chances are all you really need to change is the vacuum solenoid which you get with the valve. Pretty easy change 2 10mm bolts with an extension, one electrical connector and a couple of Vac lines.... You'll do fine as long as ou get the air breather intake stuff out of the way, it really won't pay to try and work around it. Same 10mm socket for2 bolts on the air resonator and 2 philips screws for the band clamps and that pops right off. Good luck
