'04 Caravan - Power Inverter Blows Cig Lighter Fuse
I've been using a power inverter to power my laptop computer in the van for quite a long time. But today the fuse blew. I replaced the fuse and it promptly blew again. The inverter has two of its own 25v fuses, but they are fine. I also tried plugging the inverter into the power port beside themiddle passenger bench, but kept getting a "low voltage" signal from the inverter.
Any ideas?

plug something else beside the inverter in and see if that also blows the fuse if so then u have a bad power outlet base. if not might be in your inverter.

Our 98 van used to blow the fuse all the time...of course the kids had the TV/VCR going...and sometimes the Nintendo. I don't know how much juice a laptop takes (I couldn't imagine a lot), but once we switched over to a portable DVD player, the problems stopped.
