Default 95 Grand Voyager Tranny

I'm having problems with my transmission in my Voyager. When I go to put it in drive it just dies like something is locking up. Any ideas or comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

Default RE: 95 Grand Voyager Tranny

It could be an idle air motor that isn't working or is plugged so that the engine idle speed won't adjust for the added load, but I suspect it may be a locked up torque convertor, which is a bad situation. Rather than repeat all of that, check some similar recent messages on the same issue.
