Default Flush 'N Fill Kit?

I have an 89 Carvan ES Turbo, with a cracked head gasket. I need to flush the coolant before I can install Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair. (The van is not $ worth tearing it down and replacing it.)

Anyway, the Hayne's Manual is very cryptic about which hose is the heater inlet hose, which is where I want to install the T-fitting for the flush kit.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!
