I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan that all of a sudden made a sudden back movement and slowed down. I did a tuneup but it didn't help much so I went to have it checkout and I was given a code ofP0755, P0700 and was told to take it to the mechanic. What could this problem be? Is this expensive? Anyone had similar exprience with this? What can I do? Plz help/
Thanks AH

P0755 2/4 solenoid circuit. Could be just a solenoid pack.

I have the same mini van, same codes, same problem. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy so, probably like yourself, I don't want to hear "Take it somewhere and have it checked", hence why I'm hear. So far, I know that the solenoid pack is a dealer part. When mine starts acting up, the trans pump starts to whine. It only happened twice then the van wasn't drivable. I'm hoping this doesn't mean the pump now has to be replaced. I know the end all be all solution would be an overhual, but I don't have that kind of money laying around and it's a hard hit a few months before christmas.
How have you made out with yours? I'm leaning towards a solenoid, filter and fluid change and keeping my fingers crossed atleast until income tax time. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions of substanance? Thanks
Well, yes I do my own repairs, But I have an advantage because I repair cars for a living. So hence I have access to the chrysler / dodge for over 20 years. And I have access to the DRB 3 and Starscan tools. Your most likely cause would be the solenoid pack, but there could be other problems if you are getting a whinning sound.

Thanks Master. I've heard that changing the pump in these trannys is more involved then the solenoid pack.I researching that one now because if it is a matter of a few more bolts, then..... So far, just changing the pack out means the trans doesn't have to come out. I'm not sure about the pump. Like previously mentioned; I'm hoping that there is no damage to the pump. It doesn't whine at first and the van can be driven a few miles before this starts happening. I'm thinking itis dueto the pack failing at that point causing the pump to starve for fluid. Change the pack, problem solved?!?
