we ended up doing the same: I wanted a great deal on an 07 but made the mistake of driving an 08. We bought the same van as you from the looks of it: a silver sxt and loaded.

Yep, I played golf with the GM of the local dealership Sunday, worked out a deal to turn my mom's (Gumdrop468) '05 lease in a few months early, get $4500 in rebates, $1000 in loyalty rebate, and another $3000 off on a leftover '07. She could have walked away with a minivan with a list price of over $30k for around $22k! They actually unloaded the only two '08's on the lot an hour before we got there and she saw them, drove the loaded one, and it was all over. Still got what I thought was a great deal, $500 under dealer invoice or a little over$3000 off list, plus they ate half her remaining lease payments. And she can still keep the leased one till end of term if she wants. She won't though, as she then couldn't just swap the plates and would have to insure both, I'm gonna use it this week back & forth to work to burn the full tank of gas out of it...

The 08 sure seems way nicer. We put the 07 we were going to buy beside the 08 we ended up buying. Side by side the 07 pales in comparision. The styling is way nicer; our 08 is turning heads and it is actually funny. We originally looked at 07 used but we found that they all seemed to smell like BO so the 08 stain and oder resistant seats are a big selling point. We have a 3 year old and a new one on the way so it is nice getting out of our Sunfire and into somthing comfortable and that has room for all the gear.
