Default 2002 Caravan - Blower Issue

I have a 2002 Caravan with tri-mode climate control. The blow only runs at one speed now regardless of what I set it at. I first assumed the resistor block fail but one thing does not make sense. When I turn off the climate control the blower stays on and the vents switches to floor mode. Would a bad resistor block do this or do I have another problem?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I had the exact same problem for the past year or so now. I replaced the resistor about a year ago, and two weeks ago it finally went again. So again, I replaced the resistor, only to have it go within a week. The problem is not the resistor, it is the blower motor itself. It is getting worn out and has to work to hard in turn drawing too much current which will eventually blow the resistor. I had to replace mine, and it is not a fun job, or a cheap one either.

Cheers.

I have a 2001 Gr. Caravan and the blower only works on the highest setting. Sounds like the blower motor resistor module issue again. Where exactly is that located?
