Default aftermarket CD install

Re 99 Caravan Sport,

after consulting my Haynes manual to get our factory cassette deck out to empty it of coins courtesy our niece, i got keen on putting in a 3 year old Panasonic CD/MP3 deck i've had laying about.

got the harness and mounting kit in ok, fired up the deck and got great sound.

my only question is regarding the single green/black wire that attached to the rear of the cassette deck chassis via a spade connector. i'm assuming this is a ground wire so i converted the lead so i could put the braided cable mount bolt thru it as well.

did i do good?
