1992 dodge gran caravan goes into limp mode. why? our mechanic said the selonid pack was bad. he replaed it. No change . Now he is lost. very experiemced. all he wants to do is replace transmission. it shifts great. i have 260,000 miles on the "mommy Van but only 100,000 mile on the transmission. i can pull over and turn off engine , restart and it will shift fine. then suddenly in drops out of gear. Then after coasting to about 40 mph it shifts into 2nd and stays there until you pull over stop and restart will shift fine. then after restart you drive off normally and it shifts great, then suddenly in drops out of gear. at 4o mph it shifts into 2nd an dstays ther. until you pull over stop and restart.repeat. repeat. A bad way to drive on todays highwaus. Help me solve this issue!
