Default Help with locating problem source

1998 Caravan (my friends car)

Wasrunninggreat until:

When put in reverse the heater blower motor shuts off (and the backup lights and parking lights shut off).

When I put it back in drive or park all is ok.

This started two days ago and every time he places it in reverse this happens.

Where would we start & what in common interacts with these 3 items?

Thanks

Watch your linkage and make sure there are no wires getting caught in the path of travel. Second find the reverse switch and check to see if it is grounding out. I am not familiar with the set up on the Caravan so you may want to get a manual to help.
