Default 2000 carvan 3.8L thermostat

hey guys i'm new to the caravan forum so if ya could help me out it would be greatly appreciated my dad has a 2000 Grand Caravan with a 3.8L V6 and the thermostat is stuck open i was wondering if anyone had a picture or diagram of where it is and how to get it out thanks for the help in advance

You reallydon'tneed a picture, find the upper radiator hose to the engine. You may need to remove the coil pack to remove the two bolts holding the t-stat housing. Also drain some coolant out too. Be sure to clean the old gasket off the housing and engine intake manifold. Fill the cooling system back up and drive for two miles and ck your coolant level. Driving helps to bleed the air of the system.
