Default Where to get a good transmission?

It seems that the Dodge 3-speed transmission (A670) is hard to find. Where can I find a reliable part other then the junkyard? I have called around but no luck so far.

Also, is this forum interested in information on how to take a transmission out? I have documented my steps and I am more then willing to provide them.

Thanks,

You could call the dealer on a reman trans and get a 3/36 warranty. 670 trans is now called a 31TH trans.

I believe the warranty has been extended for remanufactured trans. 3/72 (I'm in CA). Contact the service department for more info.

Unless you put the reman tranny from the dealer in yourself......then they(chrysler) don't want to cover anything....

Wrong. I do a lot of mopar warranty claims, where other shops or people have replaced there own transmissions.

Default RE: Where to get a good transmission?

Update:

I bought a new transmission sinceI didn't want to take a risk to get another bad one. I paid $975 , which comes with 3-yr warranty, torque converter, and is tested.

So with that being said, I wondered before I put it back in, if there would be anything anybody can warn me for?

Thanks
