Have you checked all the fuses? Is your ABS light on? I had a similar issue. All my fuses were okay. Ended up being the clock spring.

The ABS light isnot on. I can't find any interior fuses, I read that it may be related to the Body Control Module.

I had a situation a few months ago where my climate controls were inoperable.
It turned out to be the control head. Had it replaced with a boneyard piece and everything works now.
My symptoms were tremendous heat blowing out during the summer and a thunking noise behind the dash.

i would lean more toward the BCM that is located under the dash on the driver's side.
