I have a 2000 dodge caravan se with a 3.8l and the brake light would come on once in a while and then go off. Now it stays on all the time. Any ideas how serious this could be? I am guessing its not just brake pads. I get no performance loss in the braking system that I can tell.
Also, I am unfortunatley in need of selling this van in the upstate NY area in quick fashion due to financial issues. Any idea on price or placement to get it done quickly?
Many thanks for all replies and reads.

Could be a small leak somewhere such as at a caliber where a hose is bolted ito it.
Questions:
- Is the brake fluid level down?
- Have you had any brake work done recently?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Ck the E-brake switch on the ratchet, it maybe shorted or the wire is grounding out.
