Default Error Code 1684 on my 2001 GC?

My engine check light went on after not driving the van for 6 weeks. It started and drove normally.

Someone here was kind enough to explain how to find the error code by turning the ignition on and off. It showed 1684 and then a bunch of dashes; so I presume the only error is 1684.

That means that the battery had been disconnected in the past 50 starts; which didn't happen. It did get pretty cold some nights; maybe that made the battery weak enough to seem like a disconnect?

I did replace the battery last year, but it has certainly been started more than 50 times since then.

So two questions:
1) Could a 1684 by itself be enough to make the check engine light go on?
2) As long as everything works, can I just ignore this?

Thanks much

P1684 is a battery disconnect code. and should not have cause the lite to come on. Clear the code and drive the van. If the lite comes back on, then have someone pull the codes out with an scanner.

Most autoparts store will scan the car for free such as autozone and advanced auto I got one if you live in near South bend IN I can do it I got my for free as old employer bought one for the test truck and then sold it so they gave it to me as they no longer needed it and were cleaning out stuff they didn't need
