2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - the AC will only run on the high fan.
What part do I need and can I replace it myself? If yes to question 2, how?
Many thanks!
Eddie
P.S. This will be the second time this has happened to this van. It happened to our 1996 also. Is this a common problem with Dodge vans? Is there something electrical going on if this died and the cruise control died also? Both died last time around the same time as well. Any ideas?

RE: 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - the AC will only run on the high fan.
Are you saying you only have fan speed on high? Resisitor........ under glove box. And the speed control, Is the air bag lite on and does the horn blow too. If the air bag lite on horn doesn't blow, good chance the clockspring is shorted out causing the speed control to stop working. 1996 van has a lifetime clockspring warranty.

I too have this problem with my 2002 Grand Caravan where air only blows out when set to high. Can you please elaborate as specifically as possible where I need to locate the resistors that need to be replaced? From the previous post, I understand that I need to locate this under the glove box. What does it look like? Also, where can I find the resistor to replace for the rear A/C unit? Thanks.
I had the same problem, called the dealer, asked for a "Caravan Blower Motor Resistor". Apparently, it's a common issue. It only took me about 5 minutes to replace. Now I am able to change fan speeds... for the front. The rear A/C still only blows on high. :-( Also what I noticed is it takes forever for it to blow hot air. I have to play around with the power on/off button until it kicks in even after the engine is warm already.
