Default 17 inch wheel

Is it okay and safe to put a 17 inch wheel on a 1998 dodge caravan?

What size tire ison it? If the size you want is much bigger then what’s on it then you might have some problems especially on the front when you go to turn the wheels.

There was a OEM GC that came stock with the 17 rims. Decent looking too. If the offset is close, you shouldn't have an issue. Your bigger problem will be in picking the right size of tires. I'm running 18" rims with 235/50-18s and have no rubbing issues. It's close, but they don't hit anywhere!

Check out the thread "Will they fit?" and click on the links to see pics.

Have fun.

My '99 GC is 5 x 114.3mm or 5 x 4.5"

I believe that there were a couple of bolt patterns available so you'll need to watch oout but I believe that most were the same as mine as far and the late 90's goes.
