Default 1986 Caravan Questions

I have a 1986 Caravan with a 2.2L engine and manual transmission, and about 89000 miles on it. Last night while I was driving home on the freeway, the engine began to hesitate. It was worse after the car had warmed up for a few minutes, and was worse when I had to give it gas for going uphill etc., andgot worse around 55 mph or so.Also, ithad beenraining all day. When I have encountered rough running previously, my mechanic told me to put in some carb cleaner, and this has always done the trick, but it didn't last night.Any ideas?

The van is in very good condition, needing only a few cosmetic touches. Any interest in this as a collector vehicle?

Default RE: 1986 Caravan Questions

If you have a carburator, ck the rubber mount under the carb.
