Default Replaced front rotors and pads on 2006 Grand Caravan

OK, I've replaced many brakes before in the past so I kind of know what I am doing. LOL! Anyway, I replaced the front pads and rotors on my 2006 Grand Caravan. When the van is in Park and I press on the brakes, there's a click sound coming from the steering column. When I let go of the brakes, there's the same click. Now when I actually drive it, no clicks at all and it drives/brakes normally. I know there's usually a click when you press on the brake to engage the transmission, but it seems after I replaced the pads and rotors, it's A LOT more pronounced. What on earth could cause this?!![sm=smiley24.gif]

Default RE: Replaced front rotors and pads on 2006 Grand Caravan

Could be the shift interlock solenoid in the steering column. That's what prevents you from shifting out of park unless your foot is on the brake. Try disconnecting the electrical connector to the brake switch and see if the noise goes away. If it does, you've probably nailed the source of the noise.
