Default 2003 Caravan rough idle

Hello, I have a 2003 caravan with 71000 miles, I am the original owner and have always had it serviced well. Lately the belts have begun to squeel loudlyand the engine will miss every now and then it seems to do this more oftenwhile idleling. The van has always worked well. Could the belts be loose or worn so bad that it is causing the engine to miss? There are no engine lights on and when I have a diagnostic done there are no erros. About 2 years ago the OS light came on but went off the next day. Any help would be freatly appreciated. Thanks, Jans

Default RE: 2003 Caravan rough idle

I doubt the two problems are related unless you have the A/C on when the belts are squealing. If so, refer to this TSB on my blog: A/C Compressor.

Rough idle can be caused by a vacuum leak, an EGR valve sticking open, or a bad idle air controller.
