The mood to mod - fiberglass top to add 6" of headroom inside?

I want to make a mini motor home out of a grand caravan but I would like more headroom. Is there some supplier that can provide a fiberglass top that will add about 6" of head room inside? Any DIY ideas that don't look like doodoo? I am looking for a late 80's early 90's GCV
