Best way to diagnos is to perform a routine maintenance check. When was the last time you performed one?

Did you check distributor and rotor? Did you make sure the gap on plugs are set correct? What about air filter? I mean doing a complete maintenance... Check the simple things first. There is another forum available called www.boxwrench.net. It may have some useful information. I'm sorry if I don't have the answer to your problem.

If you decide to go to www.boxwrench.net, click on COMMUNITY on the left side and it will take you to forums. It is a good forum, because you can search the exact situation.

Are you thinking something to do with fuel flow? Possibly fuel regulator or the filter? How's it doing now?

There is a tsb 18-05-96 for the early 96 vans and 1995. To replace the IAC motor. This is for cold start ups.
